What is the difference between the clips and buckles

They both do the same job – hold the stainless steel banding. But what matters is the application. Buckles have thicker ‘lugs’ which means that more force will be needed to hammer them down which might damage the item. That is why clips are frequently used to band fragile items as the ‘lugs’ are thinner which require less force to bend.
